Cannot close threads in MM and general recommendation

Since the support forum is for order Qs only and no other means of getting this sorted (previous attempts have failed and in the process managed to get accidentally all over the place for no reason!!) I've had to resort to posting this here in hopes that it can be sorted.

The option to close my own threads in MM is not there and has not been forever. Please can this option be enabled so that I can stay within mm forum rules?!

Also it would be nice to have a section where issues liek this can be posted and resolved, like the orders support forum, no?

Yes it will get locked but it's the only way someone who has power to turn the feature on will see...perhaps.
 
Pretty sure you can close your own threads. I've certainly done it in the past. It's under post options if I remember correctly.
 
Yes, you can close your own threads and I know how/where etc but like I said though, in my case the option to close is just not there.
