Hello guys, been googling around but quite stuck now.

I have the BenQ XL2410T, I'm using dual link dvi and can get 120hz only on 1024x768 (or lower). I tried setting a custom resolution of 1980x1080 @ 120hz, and my monitor was just black.

Does this mean my graphics card cant support 1080p at 120hz? It is a nvidia 260m graphics card (mobile).

I appreciate any help you can give!

Thanks

Jamie

Are you using a laptop? Just noticed the mobile point.

I am uncertain what type of specs these cards have, but I am pretty sure it's safe to say it won't support it.

It is a laptop yes. As I say I can get 120hz on low resolution, but not HD ones :(

I wondered if it was a driver issue, or perhaps it would work via HDMI/DisplayPort?

You're right it is an old card, I was told it was good enough but apparently not :<

I highly doubt that it will support 120hz properly at HD resolutions, after all this is a mobile chip and old one at that. You are lucky you can support those res's, some of the laptops I have lying around do not even go that high.

Got an nVidia GTX260m on my laptop (clevo) and it won't do 120Hz at 1680x and higher resolutions due to lack of HDMI 1.4 or dual-link DVI output - afaik there is no work around if the outputs don't support dual-link themselves.
