so lately i just cannot get into any game for more than say 10-30 minutes

so tried playing Mafia II again and it was bit boring
so tried playing Watchdogs again just didn't seem to pull me in.
so tried Divinity Sins (new game) just seem slow

just played game of dota its a bit more fun but not by much.

what do you do when this happens to you?

happened to me mate and i bought a Ps4, havin that different platform made huge inroads to curing my gaming boredom. Been playing Infamous, Last of Us and soon Destiny has kept me entertained between D3 and Borderlands 2 on PC.

Its one of those things that happens, once your finding little keeps your interest in gaming its time to consider new genres you never really enjoyed before or just give gaming the break for a while

Also no doubt in the next few months we will have an influx of new titles.

Problem is for me i dont seem to get hyped by new launches the way i used too

I had the same recently

When I get to this stage I normally go back through games I have enjoyed and replay them.
Another thing I do is play different types of game and flip-flop between them (eg: DOTA2 + CSGO)

I tired mafia 2 and also found it boring
I also played divinity but it was too slow and seemed poor in execution despite everyone raving about it when it came out :(

I installed WH40K Dawn Of War Soulstorm at start of last week and have been playing that again.

I also bought DoWII Retribution to give it a go but am now thinking of buying Starcraft2 as DoW2 isn't really anywhere near as good as other RTS games, altho I'll probably play through the singleplayer campaign.

I play a stalker mod or run through something else that I like, like Doom 3 / Quake with a mod. Aside from that, I'll look for something new that takes my fancy and search relentlessly for the cheapest deal on the net.

I had this a while ago going from game to game trying to get into one but couldn't ... Other then gta v and the last of us of course them 2 were the best games last year by a mile... Then I bought a wii u earlier this year and haven't had a smile on my face while gaming for that long since I was a kid ... Currently back on the ps4 now though with last of us again and diablo 3.. I would deffo recommend one of these consoles or as said before a different genre all together :)

That'd be your classic "Gaming Funk"

Either find something else to occupy your free time for a while until you gravitate back to the fold naturally, or hope a title comes along to snap you out of it

I get it sometimes, for some reason thought maybe it was the brains way of saying "you need to grow out of this crap", but its not.. its a simple psychological thing, bit like burning out (sounds daft for a hobby, but hey too much of a good thing... )

If your interests are limited to gaming you are buggered mind... I just watch some dvds, read or workout if I don't feel too rough
Nice day for a walk to the park maybe? :)

I've been the same. Usually I'd turn to Battlefield and COD, but lately it's been FIFA with friends but trying to bide the time until the new one so been trying WoW even though it's not usually my type of game, but it's gripped me a bit.

Change tact, you might not find those sort of games fun anymore.

I had a similar thing several years ago, massive FPS player to nothing. Until I found games like KSP, don't starve and other games in a totally different direction and generally not big budget games either.

I got bored of Battlefield and Need for Speed and started playing Euro Truck Simulator 2. I have no idea why I currently find delivering a JCB from Aberdeen to Poznan so fascinating. But for some reason, at the moment, it is.

When this happened to me I dallied with simulator type games for a change of pace. Euro Truck 2, Farming Sim etc. Seemed to get me past my annoyance/lack of engagement with games I expected to enjoy. (Not saying I didn't enjoy the sims, I just game by mood rather than type of game).

Apart from ARMA sessions with the RPS group, I've found nothing really grips me for long after finishing XCOM : Enemy Within.

I expect this is down to my only managing to get near my home PC for a couple of hours at the weekend these days, so I want a quick fix of entertainment and don't put a lot of effort into any game that doesn't engage straight away.

Damn, seems to be a lot of us in the same boat. The only game that I currently keep going back for is Planetside 2. I look at my steam list and nothing grabs my attention.

I really need to find some new games to get me going or find another hobby to go along with gaming.
