Im trying to get my laptop (HP) display on to my lcd screen (Sharp Aq) but im having trouble :(
Im using the VGA output from the laptop then converting it to DVI and connecting to the LCD (does not have a VGA connection!)

Sometimes the computer recognises the Sharp screen and others it wont.
But for the life of me I cant get a display up. I have used S-video before and that worked its just that it looked pretty crapy!

What am I doing wrong?
Extending to next monitor etc check
Should be correct diplay I think or does it have to be spot on for it to work??

Cheers
Chris

Thanks for that,

I have checked it out and it does appear to be the dual mode where it will accept both digital and analog.
Any other ideas what might stop it from showing a picture/

...Assuming you've tried Function (FN) & f5 to select the laptops display output options? Keep FN pressed and press f5 to scrool through available outputs.

Apologies if you've already tried this or I'm teaching you to suck eggs as it were! :)

I was going to post something really similar earlier! It's definitely a worthy suggestion - it's not always F5 though. Look out for the F key that has a logo of a laptop/PC/TV screen on.
