Cannot get my Razer Diamondback to work.

Hi,

I just got a Razer Diamondback mouse and it looks nice lit up, but i cannot get it to work.....

The left and right buttons work, and the scroll wheel is lit blue, but the lazer underneath has no lights at all, should it have?

I installed the drivers on my pc and my laptop, but this mouse does not work on either.

Can anyone suggest anything ?

Its optical, so it should have a small red lazer that beams out. Does it have that??

No it doesnt.

I have an MX510 and a small Laptop Microsoft Optical mouse that both have this Red lazer beam.

Does this suggest its a duff mouse?

Razer Copperhead is a laser mouse, not optical, so there will be no visible light from underneath the mouse.

As to it not working, hmmm...if the buttons are working but the mouse can't move a cursor that does suggest a fault to me.

What surface are you using it on?

has your mouse ever worked? or do you lose your mouse after you reboot?
reload software and also check your usb settings in your bios.

I use it on a desk with a mouse mat, but it doesn't work on either.

rapid64k, the mouse hasn't worked at all yet, except the left and right buttons and the scroll wheel.

I bought 2, for me and a mate, so i think ill open the 2nd packet and try.
