using CCC,if i set the GPU clock to 650 and the memory to 1050 after getting to 113'c it tells me that it failed,i tried the auto tune and it came out with 690 and 1090,but crashed when i played COD4,ive even tried underclocking it and that also fails, after reaching 110'c.
ive fitted a neo vortex cooler onto it but temps are over 100'c.

Sounds like you've not seated it properly...the Vortexx cooler should keep it under 70s or so under load i would think

As above.. re-seat the cooler and re-apply some thermal paste. Shouldn't reach those temps, not even with a stock cooler, what does GPU-Z read the temps as.

when i first fitted the vortexx i too had higher temps than expected, i took the card back out, took the cooler off and reapplied some extra AS5, then made sure all the screws where tight when i refitted the cooler

it seemed to do the trick, at 700/1150 it idles at 43 and full load 56 :)

i cant take the stock cooler off atm,its currently in my case being secured in by 2 cable ties and i havent got any left.

Why not just remove the cable ties, fix your heatsink so as to prevent any damage to your card and then just leave your case on its side until the replacement motherboard tray comes? ;)

edit: actually you've got me confused too...

ive fitted a neo vortex cooler onto it but temps are over 100'c.

So which cooler are you using? the stock one or neo vortex?

Start Again.

I have fitted a Neo cooler to my GPU,my GPU is currently in the pci-e slot secured in by a cabletie,i havent got anymore cable ties so i cannot take the GPU out of the mobo because i will have Nothing to secure it back in.i will have to re-seat the GPU tomorrow or else my GPU will we wobbling all over the place.
i Cannot lie my pc case down because it only fits in when upright.

^
The Cooler is securely attatched to my graphics card.its the graphics card itself wich is being held by a cabletie.
