Hi all,
I have got an Epson Stylus 9880 wide format printer at work that just will not join the network. I have tried dhcp, static ip, a known working cable, have run a cable tester between the wall socket and the switch but no matter what I do, the switch says its not connected and dhcp gives it a 169.xxx address.
I've even tried several different ports on the switch, different cables and tried a known working cable direct from the printer to the switch (bypassing the wall socket).
The only thing I can think of is whether there's anything on the router that could be refusing to give the printer an IP address, but this is beyond my knowledge if that's the case.
Would really appreciate some suggestions.
Thanks
