Hi
I bought a PC off of the forums, which appears to be running Linux. When i try to boot from the XP CD (to reformat the HDD) it gets to the 'Windows is checking your system' bit....then nothing.
I know nothing about Linux, just wondered if there's something that i need to do before i can get this XP install to work?
I've been googling for ages & it seems that i'm not the only person to have this issue. Can anyone shed any light?

[EDIT: Use a 2000 CD instead.....bingo.
