Cannot Open Some Files In Windows 10

When I open some folder on my desktops and double click on a file, nothing happens and I get a message in a yellow banner at the top of the screen saying "Not backed up" This is happening with some PDF. and Excel files.

Does anyone know what is causing this and how I can fix it and retrieve my files?
 
Something to do with onedrive maybe?
Can you copy and paste them to a different folder
Then be able to open them?
Yes it definitely has to do with Onedrive. The properties/location shows as Onedrive, but when I go to Onedrive they are not there. Tried copy and paste to a new folder and I get the same message.
