Ok this is what happend.. I brought a 4850, and risked trying it with a 380w psu, and i dont think it worked, So i put the old card back in) 8600GT and it kept bsod'ing just after the windows boot up, so any way, i brought a new 600w OCZ xstream psu, tried it with the 4850HD, it boots, but the windows bar now takes a gd minute plus sometimes failing to boot, but when i get into windows, simple tasks are instant, like clicking start for instance, but loading a game will take 3 minutes on a loading screen (dirt for example) but when the race starts fps is actually very good (so i dont think theres a GFX card problem). the loading screen would normally have taken 5-10 seconds. Whats going on???

yeh i uninstalled the ati one when the 4850 was in and installed the 4850 drivers, and you maybe onto something because the bsod was telling me to check that hardware was installed properlly or that drivers etc. but the hardware was 100% connected correctly, im quite confident in pc building.

this is what i want to believe to be the problem, however i am waiting till monday, for my new hdd. i dont have an external to back up everything on my old one, so im just going to start fresh (at only £27) and slave my old HDD. (which isnt sata) so i think this is a good investment.
