Hi all,

Obviously canon dont ship hoods with non L lenses and I never bothered to invest in one when I bought the EF-s 10 - 22mm.

So which hood do I need? I beleive its the same hood used on the 17 - 40 L, but I could do with a model number. I've done some looking around but im getting conflicting advice from photography sites and ebay listings.

Cheers

Thanks,

Does anyone have any idea about deals/prices, most seem to be £15 + delivery.

Ive seen cheaper but I dont think they are genuine canon hoods.

I got a £12 one for my 70-300 USM IS off the bay, for a piece of plastic really doesn't matter if your not getting genuine tbh :)

All the Canon hoods I've had my hands on (which isn't all, by any means) have a black flock lining to stop light bouncing around the inside of the hood. A lot of the cheaper ones are just matt black plastic which doesn't absorb the light as well.

Yer the hood for my 24-105 has a lining like that, it helps to trap dust and other crap particles as well which can be helpfull, I think I will go for the proper canon one.

£20 is only the same as buying a filter I suppose.
