I've been offered a mint condition, year old Canon 16-35mm 2.8L II for £940 with a CPL and 2 years insurance. Good deal?

Not amazing, obviously these things hold their value well but if you're buying it because it's been offered, rather than you actually needing it, then I wouldn't bother.

Well I do need one. I had a look and the CPL is worth £80 so I think I will go for it.

I have a 82mm filter sitting at home, then i found good value MK1 for £500 so i took that instead leaving me with a 82mm Hoya Filter ! lol
