Canon 350D stock lens samples?

Hi all!

After much erming and ahhing I have settled on the 350D!

I cant stretch to a new lens at the moment so was wondering if anyone can point me to a review of the camera or can provide samples of the stock lens that comes with it? Sort of like a comparison with a more expensive lens - or just normal photos taken with the stock one.

Cheers! Just what I was looking for! I'm sure it will be a vast improvement over my Ixus 400, but just wanted to check!
 
Ooh actually one more thing. I've read in customer reviews that the 350D has a wobbly lens?!! Whats that about or did they simply get a faulty piece of kit? :eek: :confused:
 
No wobbly lens here :confused: If it was a review site then there is a possibility that 350d had been used in a few other reviews before it and therefore it may not have been in the best condition?
 
To be honest your IXUS 400 takes damn good pictures for a 4mp camera, and I wouldn't go putting it out to pasture just yet, you would be suprised at how good they are when you compare it to the 350D, I'm not saying the 350D takes poor pictures, on the contrary, it's just that the IXUS 400 is so much better than a lot of the competition, for a point and click I can't fault it at all.

But having full manual control and filters and interchangeable lenses and the 4 more mp is just soo much better, but not always!!!.

Have to agree with your comment about the IXUS 400! Done some macro shots on it that have put much more expensive SLR cameras to shame! Must be lucky shots lol.
 
The 350D itself is not wobbly but the standard stock lenses can be, both the EF-S 18-55 and the EF 55-200 1:4.5 - 5.6 II USM have some wobble and rattle if you shake them.
