Wonder if it compares to my uncles Carl Zeiss 50mm 1.4 that I've had the joy of using on his camera, mm.![]()

£65 is good. I'm a possibly maybe prospective buyer of a DSLR in the near future, perhaps a 30D. I've decided to add a 50mm f1.8 to the list and £69 is the best price I can find. Think I'm going to have to expand my repetoire of camera shops.RandomTom said:I'm going to be purchasing one of these in the near future but is £65 a respectable price to pay for the f1.8? or am I being fooled.

I find exactly the same, although I've only bought it once! (Nikon equivalent too)dod said:Think I'm the odd one out here. I've tried REALLY hard to like the nifty, to the extent that I've bought three different copies, each time I've sold it again. It just doesn't suit anything I do.
There's nothing wrong with it, just not for me.
