canon A530 memory

Hi all,just bought my daughter a canon a530 and wanted just to double check what memory is i need,im unsure if sd and mmc are the same type.

Any help be much appreciated......ta

Also any recomendations for a 2 gig one..

Yeah, SD is based on the older MMC cards, so you'll be better off buying a SD card as you will get quicker write speeds with it.

As for the memory card I recommend a SanDisk 2GB SD Card, can be bought for around £15 from various competitors. Or of course from here.
