Yeah I'm almost at the point where I have enough to ditch my 17-55 and upgrade to the 24-70 II. A month or so and the lens fund tin will be full!
 
How good is the 24-70 - in reality?
I have the Sigma version, which is good, albeit not top, but is the Canon really worth it for nearly £2k?

Tempted by the 70-200mm though. That is a decent amount off even for the standard f4 version.

It's up there with the 70-200 II as the sharpest zoom Canon make. It's better than the Sigma or any other 24-70 but whether it's worth the price premium on you can decide.
 
Gah... I said no more lenses. But after a recent trip I have a want for ultra wide. That 17mm-40mm f/4L is appealing. Need to have a think!
 
Damnit, I've already dropped a fortune on a 70-200 this year, now my wallet is twitching again!

Why do you keep doing this to me Canon, I hate you!!
 
Oh dear... that brings the 60D down to half the release price of the 70D. I promised myself I'd break out the savings and just buy what I want for once. But... but... half the money for most of the camera?

My 40D is sat on the shelf staring at me. I may have to cover it up to stop myself feeling guilty about being unfaithful.

If only the 60D had micro focus adjust. For me it's the 'killer app' which stopped me caving in before. Decision, decisions!

Maybe I should just buy a decent wideangle instead, and buy neither camera. :-)

go full blown and get a 6d.

You will see more difference IQ wise from going from crop to Full frame
