Canon D400 RAW Help

Hi,

Recently got a Canon 400D my first real camera, how do i set it to shoot in RAW mode i think i am shooting in jpeg at the moment, thanks in advance.

its in the menu settings.

make sure your not in automatic and then as above, its in the menu settings!

Thanks for the replies, been looking in the menu but can not find an option to set it to shoot in raw.

It's the top option of the first page of the menu! It's called quality, set that to RAW. If it doesn't let you then put the camera into something other than full auto (P Mode is fine) and try again.

Did they forget to supply a manual?

On my 350D it is Menu then tab 1. First option. Not sure if this is the same as a 400D.

You sir are brilliant! I have a 400D and of course the manual. But the manual is small and too fiddly when I'm trying to play with the camera.

This will save me so much hassle.
