canon EOS utility s.w woes

Hi,

Ive installed the canon software that came with the 400d.

Trouble is when I click on "control camera setting" the third option down, everytime I try to open it WIN XP SP2 crashes...

I uninstalled it and then tried reinstalling it without any luck...

Sooooooo...

I'm lost

Anyway experienced this and if yes do you have a fix?

Got to the canon website, download and install all of the updates for the software relevant to XP

Also run windows update, it can't hurt to try (famous last words).

Ive not had any problems with the software! as sugested try and update it first and seewhat happens.

i updated the software using the updates from canon site...

It takes forever to open up when I plug in the USB...it did before I updated it also...

grrrrr

doing my brain in...
