I bought an Ixus 100 silver for £169 just before going on holiday and found it a great little camera. However, It had a problem with a mark on the sensor so had to go back and the shop swapped it over for a new one - they only had back left in stock.... at the moment it is unopenned.

Im thinking of returning it and getted something better... however it seems that If I wanted the next step up I might have to spend an upto an extra £80 for something like the Canon SX200 or the Lumix DMC-TZ7.

Is it really worth it or should I just stick with the 100IS?

how much are you into photography? Will you use the extra features you paid for, or is the 100IS good enough for what you need?

If you found it a great camera then why do you want better?

I am very much into photography - but at a budget. A few years ago I did the OCUK photo competition and came 7th overall at the end of the year. I only had a cheep nikon 4mp point and shoot!

The Lumic has less manural functions than the canon so I think Im keeping the canon. I cant afford a DSL.
