    Hi all,

Ive been looking around and the Canon IXUS 800 seems like the best compact camera out. What are your opinions?

Was thinking of getting it from an auction site....

There is a guy shipping to the UK for about 220GBP, how do I ensure it is a UK edition. What does the UK edition offer over other versions?

    Thanks

    Location: Staly-Vegas!!!

    I have one (replaced a sand infested Sony P200 :) )

very nice camera, with a useful zoom range, and the IS works a treat. Pity it lacks manual controls, but it is a P&S afterall.

Make sure you dont get stung import duty with that one from ebay.

I think they are all the same featurewise, with the american version being the SD700is, the Jap Version being the IXY 800is, and the british version being the Ixus 800is.

Some example shots - all unprocessed with the exception of a resize.
