just wondering if anyone with this combo has it working properly over a network?

I normally just install the printer driver and the scan gear drivers and then it shows up as a printer and i scan through Image Capture...

I can't access it through IC (but I can scan through Acrobat - but only to pdf) and it doesn't show up as a printer in system prefs...

any ideas?

I've used the latest (CUPS) drivers whatever that means?

So which bits work OK? Does the printer work OK? The scanner? Both? Neither?

Googling suggests it works fine in OS X, though I'm not sure about the network side of things.

If it's the scanner side of things that aren't working right, you may want to check out the Scangear drivers. I've got to keep Rosetta installed on Snow Leopard as my Lide 30 only has old skool drivers and Photoshop plugins.

printing doesn't work and scanning only works through Acrobat...

obviously what i would like is printing to work everywhere and for scanning to work through Image Capture (don't use any of the crappy bundled software, the software I already have does (well... did) the job just fine...)

Just wondering if anyone has a solution to this yet? I'm still running the latest canon drivers but they don't seem to have enabled network printing :(

The printer is the other side of the office and is used as a network printer - really unacceptable that canon didn't have drivers ready for the 10.6 release

anyone know a workaround?
