Canon vs Nikon

Getting back to the topic, I can think of nothing worse photographically than sitting in a 'pit' of photographers trying to photograph athletics! One, I don't like being a sheep, and secondly I don't particularly like athletics! Some nice kit on show though!

lol, on the face of it I agree, the rush to get certain shots, extremley long days being crammed in, having to get the shots to the agencies as quickly as possible.... BUT I think it would be awesome to cover such an event, capturing world records, people like Phelps etc, trying to capture the emotion when someone wins a gold medal, or loses.

I can be pretty certain that it would be *just a little* more interesting than looking at telnet.exe and dealing with halfwits at an ISP! (which is what I currently do) :p

What never ceases to amaze me is how they all manage to make enough money to cover their time, equipment and travel costs, let alone make a profit. Are there really so many people in the world willing to pay for so many photos? I'd have thought just a half a dozen could cover the whole race, then put their images up for sale for all to buy. :)

Vincent LaForet is a legend. I was following his blog all during the game and I would always look forward to the impressive image of the day.

The remote setup at the 100m Men's Final is truly impressive, I had seen pictures of it but the video does it more justice.
