Cant access files on drive

hi all,

having just reformatted and installed win7 im now not able too access my files on my storage drive. Ive tried resetting permissions etc but no luck.

have you tried to take ownership?

properties

security tab

advanced button

owner tab

edit button

choose and apply.

looks more like winXP to me??

looks like you need to take ownership of the files/folders

hi,

cheers for replies, ive tried both your suggestions with no luck. ive spent hours googling the problem. also tried booting into linux but still the same issue.

You need to take ownership of the files
