Hey People,

I'm trying to install a draytek router but I can't access the web config on it. I can't ping the router either.

However, I can browse the internet through the router.

Is there anyway to know what the router IP is? I've tried 192.168.1.1 as per the manual but that won't load up.

Thanks
Jonny

open a command prompt, and type (without quotes) "ipconfig" and hit enter

the router should be your default gateway IP address.

your gateway is probably different from the one stated in the manual, just do ipconfig /all in cmd and you should see the proper gateway

as above

However.....

This happened to a customer of mine and when I checked he had connected accidentally to a neighbours unsecured wap.

As i found mine had done whilst mine was unprotected. I thought i was running really slow one day so i logged onto my router and saw 2 ips connected. I quickly put the password back on ( i had forgotten i had taken it off whilst playing with my xda exec months before) next time i saw him in the garden he mentioned his internet had gone down and it was a night mare to set back up again:D
