I wonder if the OcUK collective have any thoughts on my current issues with a new router I bought on Saturday from OcUK?

It's one of these.

I set everything up no problem, but since completing the initial setup, I've not been able to get back into the admin pages.

It's working perfectly, connecting to the internet, and all the computers can talk to each other without a problem. However, when I try and connect to the router itself (192.168.2.1) it comes up with "page cannot be displayed".
If I restart the router, then I can at least see the summary page, but when I click to log-in, I get the "page cannot be displayed" error, and I can't get back to the summary page until I restart the router again.

Very confused!

If anyone can suggest a way to fix this I'd really appreciate it. Down time is a royal PITA as it serves 2-3 peeps working from home on a daily basis.

Thanks!

Andy.

Have you got a proxy setup for your internet connection, if so disable it and then the router's login page will appear.

Yep, definitely the correct gateway address. As above, it does access the status page.

Thanks,

Andy.

Factory reset the router and start again

ah crumbs, thought that might be the next step, what a PITA. Will have to be late tonight once everyone's signed off for the day, ho hum.

~Thanks for all the suggestions guys!

Before resetting it why not try this:
(i some times cant get in to my router as it times out but this works)

If you have windows vista / seven click start go to computer,
On the left it will say "Network" click on this and on the right (Give it time)
It might being up a icon for the router,

I have a o2 wireless box and so get "Thomson TG587n v2 (1039DH38H)"
Right click on the icon and go to view device webpage.

But as 23JMZ07 said a reset might be best.

Incase anyone comes across this in the future, hard resetting the device and re-entering all the values fixed the issue.
