I wouldn't touch that drive again; your doing paid work to strict deadlines, just buy yourself another one (and maybe an external jobby for nightly backups). Backup important files to DVD maybe once a week too for permanent archive in a different house from your computer (to avoid fires, burglary etc.)

I agree, if I was using my computer for work I would deffo get a RAID-1 setup at least or an external drive setup so it backs up changed files overnight.
