Cant boot from cd with sata drive?

Just tried installing vista and its not picking up the dvd in the drive,is this a problem with the sata dvd writer i have?

My mb is a Asus P5B Deluxe.

You'll have to set the SATA DVD drive as higher in the boot priority of SATA drives in one of the menus....it's a pain, but it's easily workable.

It confused me for a while the other day, I almost put an IDE drive back in to run the CD

I did that and got an error during installation,anyways connected my ide back up and got vista installed.

all sorted now.
