I had a Windows 7 partition and I installed Windows XP after, now I cant boot up Windows 7 because it automatically boots into XP without giving me a choice of OS, I'm guessing this is because the boot manager of XP can't detect the newer OS, but the question is, how do I get my Windows 7 back?

I think this will work for XP!

Start>Run>msconfig>BOOT

Then configure the OS you need to boot first and that!

Windows XP has no knowledge of Vista and Windows 7, so it doesn't know that the two newer OS uses a different mechanism for booting.

OK at worst you might not see Windows XP at startup, but the Repair should see XP and add it to the bootloader.

I used the fixboot/fix mbr commands in the Windows 7 setup disc command prompt, and now I can succesfully boot into W7, BUT now Windows XP isn't showing up... if I do the same thing for Windows XP with the XP setup disc, wont W7 be gone again aswell?
