For the life of me I can't get my PC to boot from my Sammy F1 in SATA mode, I get as far as the POST screen and it just hangs at 'auto detecting SATA drive'. I've trawled the net for a fix and most forums talk about changing the following registry value: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\msahci

I have done this but the problem still persists. As far as I can tell this driver is installed as I can see it in the Windows\system32\drivers folder. I have tried to install the IRST drivers to see if this helps but that doesn't work either and I just get the message "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software". I really don't know how to fix this and I need to change it so that I can get the most out of my new SSD, any ideas?

Msahci, iastor & pciide all have their start values set to '0' already. I just tried fiddling with the ports but I just get 'auto detecting SATA port 2' instead of 1. Getting stuck so early on does seem to be a 'feature' of ASUS boards from what I've read but I don't see how it's having problems so early on as it can't be doing anything with drivers during POST.
