Cant change volume thru Windows on a USB sound card - Help needed.

I Have a high end USB Soundcard - Tascam US122. It works great thru Windows Vista... However I cant seem to change the volume thru windows, only thru the volume knob on the sound card. Id love to be able to change volume thru windows as I also use PC as media centre and volume control on remote does not work.


Am I missing something silly in the settings?

Try looking for the latest drivers for your card and do a complete reinstall.

Failing that since the card seems to be ASIO compatible you could perhaps look at the generic ASIO driver at ;
http://www.asio4all.com/

This allows you to use multiple devices among other things, and has solved some problems I had with my FCA202 firewire card.
It has also been fairly recently updated to bring in Vista compatability and might solve your issue.
