Can't change x-session-manager on Raspberry Pi

I VNC into my Raspberry Pi, which is currently downstairs under the TV. The Pi runs a secondary Pi-Hole instance, in case the primary docker one on Unraid stops.

I've been playing about with different desktops on the Pi, but somehow have my desktop stuck on Cinnamon. Everytime I try running update-alternatives and reboot, the Pi always reboots to Cinnamon

Before I pull out what little hair I have, I'd be grateful if anyone can help me restore the original Pi desktop, LXDE?

Thanks :)

In the end I got around this by simply removing the managers that I no longer wanted - now back on LXDE. I'm sure there's a better/more proper way of resolving this issue, but in the meantime I'm at least sorted :)
