Cant connect a Tube between two componets in a loop

right, got everything inside my pc case minus the tube. i may need to buy new tube because i simply cant attack it between two of my WC components.

The issue i am having is that i first attack the compressed fittings on my radiator and then i attach the tube and tighten the sleeve of the compressor fitting. That goes in fine but when i attack he other end of the tube to the compressed fitting on my reserviour, it wont turn. This is because when i attempted to tighten the fitting from the other end, the whole tube starts to turn and its a fight between me and the stupid tube and it will eventually slip out

Any tips on how to connect a tubed loop using compressed fittings?

i bought 1/2 ID 3/4 OD tubes and fittings. The tube i am using has a kind of rubber none slippery surface.

what you mean? yea it bends a bit as it has to bend 90 degree to go to my res which is on the top of my bay drive. i tried connecting rad to cpu and that seems to be ok

Basically, the compression ring should screw onto the compression most of the way and then you won't be able to pull the tubing out.

Thats the thing. it wont screw on properly due to the WHOLE tube screwing simultaneously with the compression ring :rolleyes:

so put vassaline on the outside of the tube and attach the ring compression on it?

jonney put the lubricant on the outside of the tube where the compression nut goes over so you can twist the nut without the tubing twisting.

Ok but if i do that, are u sure it wont later slip out of the compression fitting?

how can u wipe it off when the compression ring is covering the area where i have applied vasaline? i would have to unscrew the ring off to wipe off the vasaline.

Ok, i will give it a go. i heard some people bend there tubes by soaking part of it in hot boiling water?

yea thats what i did. i put all teh fittings on the rads etc. i just went to he shops and bought some Lubs and also a pack of condoms just incase i get lucky tonight with the missus
