cant connect to router admin from 1 PC grrr

hi

i have a main PC downstairs and a spare PC upstairs.

i cannot connect to router admin page from the main PC anymore via 192.168.0.1

i can connect from the spare PC and on my mobile phone.

IE, firefox and chrome said connection refused.

i looked up on net, most likely problem with host file. i need to add 192.168.0.1 in the host file.

how to do this?

Is the router listening on port 80?

Is there a difference in the port on the URL you use between the spare PC and your main PC?
 
i just booted up linux mint live CD, checked the ip config, exactly same IP configuration. i can access to the router webpage

so it is win7 pro 64 bit problem.

i#m back on win7, cant access to the router admin page, but i can ping 192.168.0.1 fine
 
when i copy/paste the error message to google, people mentioned modify the hosts file solve the problem hence this thread
 
same problem when turned the firewall off.

bit defender anti virus free edition, upstairs PC got same AV but ok accessing to router admin page
 
i found the problem, i have vmware workstation installed. i disabled the vmware network adapter vnet8 connection. i can access to 192.168.0.1!!! when turning it back on. i cant access again lol
