My dad has recently purchased a retail version of windows 7 as he was using the RC version that i installed up until last week.
However for some reason i can't get the system to connect to any routers properly (wired connection), the network is showing up as "Unidentified Network".
DHCP is not working and i keep getting a 192.254 IP address.
It did connect once for about 15 mins when i ran the netsh int ip reset command, but that was short lived and it quickly returned to it's messed up state.
I've tried manually configuring it & disabling DHCP, that worked once, again for about 15 minutes but now that no longer works either.
I've noticed it keeps reverting back to a "Public Network" too, i'm totally stumped now, help??!?
