Can't connet to internet in windows 7, help needed plz?

Maybe there is a conflict between the two devices which won't allow the internet to come on?

I'm literally crying inside.

You've gone 8 days on a beta OS without internet access.. perhaps using a non-beta OS might help? Just a guess..

Hi Guys,

I am still haven't sorted out this problem

I have a realtek wifi card and have installed the latest 32bit vista driver for 32bit windows 7 beta. I think there's an issue because of my sound card which is made by realtek as well. Do you think I should update the sound card driver as well? Maybe there is a conflict between the two devices which won't allow the internet to come on?

Many thanks in advance

HHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHHAHA UR TOO FUNNY

im glad ur not banned ...ur posts as idiotic as they are - are also quite amusing at times.

anyway quick bit of advice for u since u made me laugh...have u tried resetting the network adaptor ?

it may be setup wrong...vista sometimes suffers from a similar problem as if my ethernet cable gets unplugged then vista refuses to give me internet access even if i reset the modem....only way is by resetting network adaptor itslf.

*edit*
oh wait i didnt really read ur post....ur on wifi lol

WiFi will have problems in Windows 7 although my netgear adapter I got for when I am at home works fine in Windows 7, takes abit of tinkering to get working, unplugging, plugging in and messing around in device manager, same for my TV stick.

vhsbunny is taking the **** abit though, any normal person would have been able to do some researching, trial and error and determine if it can or cannot work in less time than 8 days....

I actually tried to install windows 7 on a friends pc over the weekend.

Installed it on an old Nforce2 board which worked fine till I tried the internet to which no avail. (going via ethernet cable with virgin) I Installed all the motherboard drivers all the latest ones for this board but still it wouldn't connect via ethernet...for some strange reason windows 7 doesn't recognize the MPC network adapter drivers also some of the multimedia drivers. If you go into the properties of the adapter you will probably see a code 10 issue which doesn't really help because all it does is ask you to go online and try for driver updates (pretty hard to do if you can't get online).

Though don't give up there because if you use your noggin you will do what I did and go online via usb instead of the ethernet ...thats if your modems got a built in usb like virgin medias modems do.

So try getting online via the usb instead of ethernet.
