was the issue partly that their 7 warranty and garages 6/12 months wasn't as extensive as you'd hoped.I service mine every 5k miles, I bought the car with 50k on the clock I've put 30k on it, it's had new headlight washer jets (luckily I managed to get them replaced under warranty as Kia wanted £600 to replace them), reversing camera failed, front wishbones, rear trailing bushes, rear lower arm bushes, rear shocks, hand brake cables, the cabin filter assembly shattered and had to be replaced, coil packs and ignition condenser, front calipers seized, issues with headlights (wiring), boost solenoid.failed 3 times, diverter valve split so I replaced with an aftermarket one, hose clips rotted away.
Couple of neighbouirs wives have kia sportages ... they lead a hard life with short distance school/activity runs, not driven very sympathetically over local potholed roads.
Although zf might be the rolls royce for auto boixes have you test driven one to convince yourself that for driving and parking manouvers you like it.
Also, ,although I got an Audib9 avant, the choice of finding a dealer within a reasonable distance who had a manual boxxed bmw/audi/merc/vag estate I wanted was the
challenge, took about 4months , near Cambridge (more choice of EV's !) - you may find local choice of what you want is not great.
if you want an audi zf/tiptronic ~£20K isn't you choice limited to likes of 3.0/tdi avant https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202601229349038
