I'm building a new PC in two weeks but can't decide on the motherboard and cpu. The system will NEVER be used for games.

It's main use will be capturing HD video into premiere and then exporting to after effects, and then back to premiere for exporting to dvd

I don't want to spend more than 1k on the base unit, less if possible but I would like it to be nice and fast. My current system is a dog when prevewing video on the fly.

We have the adobe masters collection on order which we will be using so the software is all up to date

Thanks!!!!

I'd get 4GB or more of RAM if I were you, video editing and animation programs hog a lot of memory when encoding and buffering video/audio. Especially HD.

Also whats your budget for mobo+cpu? 1k?
