I've had a fair few SSDs over the years

Crucial C300, Intel X25, Corsair Force3 etc etc etc....

Now, I'm titching in the wallet to buy something and heard many reports that the Force 3 is pants.

Do I sell it on and get a new one :D

If so, I really can't decide which one. The most popular ones seem to be the Crucial M4 and the Samsung 830 but heard a big noise about toggle flash which is on the new Corsair Performance Pro. The other niggle is that I also heard the Samsung degrades over time (tweaktown review) which a lot of comments seem to backup which screenshots as proof.

as much as I'd love the Performance Pro, I can have thw M4 at half the price, or double the size for the same.

Help!!

Just had a read of the Samsung 830 (tweaktown ) review Thats really put me off buying it as i do a lot of HD video editing

:(

I don't think so. They probably fill up faster than they degrade, if they degrade at all. And once they are full all you need is the read speeds (which is still high anyway)

Hi

Sorry to jump in this thread but what kind of Seq, 4K, 4K-64Thrd and Acc.time read/write performance could I expect from two
Crucial RealSSD M4 256GB in RAID0 on the ASUS Rampage III Extreme board and the Intel SATA-II Controller?

Does anybody know of any benchmarks of two of these SSDs in RAID0 on a Intel SATA-II and SATA-III Controller?

Thanks for responding.
