So I am in the market for a SSD. I wouldn't say I desperately need one now, but there is a deal on currently with one of the ssds so made me look, but then I noticed another one with it.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-066-OC&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=910 is £84

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-007-CR&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=910 is just shy of £100

My question is, is the far slower write of the Crucial going to be a problem? I look at the OCZ and it seems nice and rounded, high speeds all round, but the Crucial has a far faster read speed but a much smaller write speed. I just want super fast hard drive for the OS and main programs like CS5, for a huge performance boost (I am hoping).

Plan is right now to put into the pc (it runs snow leopard, but I may revert to windows 7 although I do kinda need final cut). But I'd like to be able to put it in my imac later on once the warranty has run out.

Apart from that main question, would people say its worth waiting a few months (i can wait, im not desperate for it I would just like a performance increase) for perhaps new ones coming out or that the prices will go down in the coming months / sizes will get bigger. Or to get one of those two now.

Cheers :)

Okay this choice will be just for my imac now. Still can't decide. I'm leaning towards either the OCZ, or waiting a few months if anyone thinks that would be better.
