Cant delete Windows.old,

I have just re installed windows 7 and it has left windows.old on my hdd and its taking up about 10gb or so...i have tried deleting it normally but it just is taking forever and hasnt done anything after 4hrs, is there any alternative software i can use that can delete it quickly and properly.

I usually get this aswell and I did a fresh install..

Does anyone know a solution?

Use the disk cleanup feature.

Yeh thats what i have done...i do a fresh install every few months and it keeps creating Windows.old,Windows.old000 etc

Hit the start button and select Help, enter "delete windows.old" and follow the instructions.

Just did and it says previous installs were 60gb

...nice bump of space on my netbook
