Cant Find First Car!

Thanks.

Have'nt looked at the Astra's yet, but I will give them a good look as soon as possible. Personally Im not a big fan of the Focus (Looks mainly) but im not expert and havent drove an Astra or many others so it would be unfair for me to just rule it out as of yet. Anywho, thanks for your comments and be glad to hear more :)

Never realised you could get them that cheap!

edit : but only in a 1.4 guise

Mine was £3500 from a stealer with 30k on it! (1.8 SRi) They deprecieate like mad other than the gsi's/sri-t's which hold relatively well. Also the 888's obviously.

First car should be something small i.e. 106, 306, polo, clio etc

Definately, wouldnt want to risk anything huge like a focus being a new driver, no way he'd be able to handle such a beast

Can get it done for £199 and why tell the insurance.

*waits for the incoming abuse* ;)

£199 to make a slow car designed purely for economy slightly less slow? With the added risk of not telling insurance. No thanks.

******** only if you can't drive, I started on a 2 litre carlton, fronted, never had a crash in the 10 years i've been driving.
I can't stand small cars, I have to really rag them the way I drive and as such wreck the engine in a small amount of time.

It isn't? Oh.

Nice to hear you had a Ferrari as a first car. 9.5 is perfectly acceptable to 60 IMO, especially for a first car. Hell, mines quoted at 12 to 60 and it does me.

Seriously, its a first car so its hardly going to be a 0-60 in 5 seconds jobbie.

0-60 in 9.5 seconds is hardly slow is it?

2 seconds difference, plus loads more torque and better MPG.

You wont be knocking 2 seconds off your 0-60 time with a remap to a staggering 120bhp.

Hi

My insurance will go up £89 a year when I remap my Focus 1.8 TDCI from 115 PS to 145 PS. Im 18, 0 Ncb, 1 accident, alltogether insurance will cost £1250 I think

Well the standard dTurbo was 9.9 :p. Swear we had someone g-meter one on here ages ago and had all sort of kerfuffle!

Bought my first car a couple of weeks back

Honda Accord 2.0i SE,

bit of a bugger for petrol, but air con, cruise control, full electrics, cd player, sunroof , huge boot, 4 doors... comfy seats.. reliability.

I got a hell of a lot of car for 920 quid, Much better value than little hatches
