can't find the windows xp3 exe download

need to apply it on a few computers and would find it easier to download the admin exe and run from a network drive. anyone heard of seen it?

i can't see anywhere if you need SP2 to put SP3 on?

you need SP1 at least to install SP3
you can slipstream SP3 into a gold source (SP0)


so no, you don't need SP2 installed

you don't need to slipstream it if you just want to update some old machines (although they're run better for it no doubt)

don't slipstream in vista, it messes the PID, it's a known ms fault (and a massive one at that). unless you use nlite to do it, nlite does it fine

as for rebuilding the disc, i'd use nlite, if you're just slipstreaming & burning the disc, it doesn't touch any other files or inject any into the source..
