can't find your stuff blame your wife/girlfriend ??

Change left in my pockets tend to dissappear out of my work pockets

The change jar seems to be magically growing tho

I prefer to use cash where the wife always uses card payments

So many of my things disappear. When I ask my wife if she has moved them he answer is always no. But I will find them later in somewhere obscure that only she could have placed there. She still denies it when I oint it out Drives me mad.

Im with you dude.

My slippers are the main thing to go missing then turning up somewhere I couldnt possibly have left them. I wonder what the rationale behind it a) moving them b) denying she's moved them. Is it just a long term plan to make me think I've got dementia and give her power of attorney:confused:

Me and my girlfriend are both messy, but I put things that have a home, in the home. If there's mess it's because it's something new, or needs dealing with etc.

Whereas I can say 5 days running "Can you put your shoes away from the living room floor by the time I'm home" and they'll still be there.

The only things that go missing are when I lend her tools and they disappear into her studio. I've taken to just buying new ones :(

I used to have my entire bedroom floor a couple of inches thick in lego. Finding a specific lego piece was simple. I now have a mind that can visualise any item in the space of the room (as long as I put or move it). Now I can visualise what is in the garage and find specific things.. I can visualise anything in the man cave.

Yet the mrs has to organise things precisely.. a bit OCD.. boxes in boxes, containers in containers, often like a Russian doll. Nope.. my brain can't operate like that.

My other half doesn’t generally move my stuff - as I always remind her there’s no need as I am pretty tidy. But if looking for something else and you ask, why is the answer always “it’s in the cupboard”. Like, what flipping cupboard?! There’s quite a few in our house! even when it’s a kitchen thing the answer is the same, and that still means you’re trawling through the whole kitchen anyway

This is partly why I'm messy, if something is "away" it's because it has one precise home. If it doesn't have a permanent home I'll leave it lying around so I can find it!

I knew someone who fired a cleaner for steaking a valuable watch once, and 18 months later found it tidied into a cabinet :o
