Cant fit on any hose clips ,,please help

Guys

I have just got my water kit on and I am using some 1/2 hose with 1/ barbs , I cant get a jubilee clip around the Dtek CPU block or around the Laing plexitop pump .

Now it has been running fine for a week with no leeks at all , will i be fine without them ?

well the DTEK's a bit of a pig but doable cos i used to till i switched to masterkleer hosing, all you do is undo the clip completely & stretch it out like a metal strip, then slowly waggle it between the barbs & hose till you can pull it thru properly.

now a days i just use nylon cable ties cos they do the exact same job & are a damn sight thinner.

Why don't the clips fit?

1/2 inch on 1/2 inch without clamp is a bit risky IMO.

Try cable ties for a bit of peace of mind (better than nowt)

I wouldn't leave ½" ID on ½" barbs without a clamp.
