Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. cant get 1280*800 on 4650 card

you can force ccc to set "unsupported resolutions", i think its under
Monitor properties - attributes - then you will need to untick the resolution box at the bottom, this should allow a whole host of resolutions that your monitor will not support and hopefully the res that it does
edit: this is the checkbox here at the bottom:
do off with that ticker and all the resolutions will become available.

i tried that,it not the problem of getting the resolution its when setting the resolution it goes into 4:3 mode,i was playing the game Braid and it only seems to go into 1280*800 mode and two big borders on the left and right 
I think i have to get the driver like the first guy said for the monitor but i cant find it,i will keep checking back on this thread as you guys are my only hope on solving this.

Alrite mate have had a look around and the internals for this monitor according to some people are the same as the Proview 15-inch 558 and drivers can be found here... good luck.
edit: also found a thread on a competitors site which outlines people with the exact same issue.. most of who managed to get it working with this driver.

Sorry dude, I never actually downloaded the driver I just lifted that link and info straight off of another forum.
By the way have you tried all of the scaling options in the ati driver? The braid resolutions options are poor at best. Does it happen in all your games?

Yes it happens in all the games at the resolution,im selling the pc anyway but just wanted to get it sorted before i flog it.Anyway thanks for all help everyone.Wont get a second hand liteview monitor again haha
