I've used these commands in the console :

give_all_weapons=1
give_all_ammo=1

But they no nothing. I altered the DevMode.lua file which I read to do in a guide.

Any idea's what I'm doing wrong ?

Cheers

You're trying to cheat, that's what's wrong. Why are you trying to cheat btw? :p

It's a truly amazing game, don't ruin it!

lets assume that he has finished the game BEFORE he is cheating, before we start complaining about it.

Once its finished then you cant ruin it by cheating, at least in my eyes.

sorry to dissapoint the gaming purists but I cheat because I want to..... I don't have hours and hours of spare time to play games so I just want all the weapons now thanks !

If you havent the time then you shouldnt buy the games, its like buying a book and only reading the last 5 pages!

What a waste of money!

its hardly the same as a book :rolleyes:

If he wants to cheat, let him. His life. As soon as I read the title I thought he were go, some people just cant take it that other people use cheats (hence why they are in the game as well). Get over it.

Have any of you tried the last level of far cry?

TBH, I doubt many people have completed it without using the chair trick (jam it in the door so you can get back to the armoury). Its such a solid final section.

Yes, tried and finished and never knew there was a chair trick. Just kept doing it until i finished it (although i cant remember the ending). Only problem i had with the game was the vehicle bug where they disappeared if they hit something. Not so bad in itself but there is the one level where you have to drive out of the bunker on the forklift truck, it kept hitting the ramp and disappearing so i couldnt progress. Managed to fix it in the end.

yep I tried to alter the target line on the Far Cry icon with -DEVMODE at the end but it says the "path is not valid" ??

Isnt it -devmode 1 ?? also, if are you adding it to the shortcut or the actual game .EXE?

They are not left in the game to actually be used in order to cheat, they are tools used for development and testing that are written in to the code and you will find that they are usually left in for mod/map creation.

Off topic slightly, did anyone get the game as part of a GFX card deal?? I did but the whole bloody thing is in German so i cant play it :( Had to borrow the bro-in-laws copy.

EDIT:

Just add -DEVMODE to the end of the executable command line if the save command is not working

This is all i could find.

the target line in the Far Cry icon is :

"E:\Games\Far Cry\Bin32\FarCry.exe"

which I try to change to :

"E:\Games\Far Cry\Bin32\FarCry.exe-DEVMODE"
and
"E:\Games\Far Cry\Bin32\FarCry.exe"-DEVMODE

but it won't allow either............

E:\Games\Far Cry\Bin32\FarCry.exe -DEVMODE

Not sure on the " but there should be a gap before -DEVMODE otherwise it thinks its looking for an .EXE called FarCry.eve-devmode.

I think :)
