Cant initialize hdd

Got a 750gb seagate drive here, installed into my system this evening. The drive is showing up fine in bios connected to an intel sata port using a brand new cable. However when i go into disk management to initialize it, im met with the following.

Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

Also, in properties it shows as intel raid0 volume, scsi disk device, 1397.27 gb?

My other two drives are listed as ATA disk devices, (samsung 840 ssd and samsung F3 1TB). AHCI enabled in bios.

Sounds plausible enough mate, ill give that a try.

Sorted, had been in a RAID0 array (status showed as failed). Couldnt select delete, but reset it to ordinary disk. Initialized and showing up fine in windows. Cheers for the help wazza.
