Cant install adobe flash player..

Ok pretty much as the title says, i cant install this for love nor money, all the installer does, is race to 100% and then closes and its no where to be found...ive done the uninstaller thing, but it makes no difference...really annoying as 2 of my regular sites now require flash and i cant get it.

Firefox (NO im not changing to IE7)

Same here,although this using Vista and IE7.
It says I need to install Flash Player,click to download,window says it's installed although the install wizard doesn't come up and as you I can't find it anywhere.
I'm thinking firewall?
 
i dont know, but im getting a little annoyed with it really, just opened IE7 and surprise surprise it works in there...but not FF...really strange.
 
I've found that some sites detect me as not having flash in firefox yet other sites it works fine. All of them seem to work in IE7.
I assume it is bad detection code on the websites part, perhaps you could just go direct to the flash page (if you get the link from IE) because it will probably work fine
