vdroop so does that mean i can pump more vcore in bios and try again for 4ghz in the future? I am kind of thinking it won't be worth the extra heat for 2-3 hundred Mhz ?
 
yeah, the actual vcore applied is approx. what CPU-Z says. And whether you want to do have the extra heat for a nice even 4ghz is up to you :p
 
done a a clean vista install and now I'm getting bsod and by the looks of it my vcore is a lot lower in cpuz now could that be the course?
bumped up to 1.33 in bios read 1.088 i windows now?

Even so thats dropping a lot, got speedstepping turned off?

everything is the same before i formated and could prime for hr+ now bsod after few mins?

pc has been on for a long time today? nb is getting to 56c , passive cooled i sit too hot?

I have had to up volts in bios from 1.27 to 1.37 now to get stable at 3.8ghz

How come? all i did was a fresh install ? buts still reads vcore 1.176 in cpuz under full prime95 load?


edit seems sorted hrs prime torture pass max temp on any core 54c
