Can't install Ubuntu-eee on my Eee PC :(

I'm looking at asus eee pc 900 bk027 that comes with Linux installed and i've just found an 8gb sd card for 11 quid. That would be nice for ubuntu :)

I had an install of Ubuntu (both the standard Hardy and eeeXubuntu) on my 701 before I sold it. There's a script pack available from the eeeuser.com forums that allows you to enable the function keys and use the onscreen display. Works very well. Indeed, all of the features of mine worked correctly, after a little bit of tweaking.

The only bit I had trouble setting up was the webcam, and I don't think I ever used that when I did manage to get it working...

I do not recommend 8.04 on a eee pc, i have 8.10 on my eee and the new drivers in 8.10 have really helped a lot. I have a eee 901.
